I am a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences at the University of Michigan, working with Matt Friedman.
My research examines how marine biodiversity hotspots changed throughout the Cenozoic, with a focus on how fishes entered, diversified, and shifted across the Indo–West Pacific. I use museum specimens—both fossil and living—spatial analyses, and quantitative paleobiology to understand how ancient ecosystems shaped modern tropical marine diversity.
I made the linocut background! :)
